This map is intended to provide potential ROBIN applicants with relevant and timely data to make informed decisions on the locations to include in a ROBIN application. Locations on the map are labeled as Likely or Unlikely Eligible for the ROBIN grant program. This designation is not the final authority on the eligibility status of a location submitted as part of a ROBIN application. The Michigan High-Speed Internet Office will use all available information sources to determine the final ROBIN eligibility for locations submitted as part of a ROBIN application. Information regarding “Funding Eligibility Status” was drawn from the Federal Communications Commission’s Broadband Data Collection. The National Broadband Map, which is populated from the FCC’s BDC, is updated every six months. Updates to the national map will be reflected here as they become available.
Information in the “Cable and/or Fiber Infrastructure Present” Data Layer was drawn from data collected by physical observation of broadband-supportive infrastructure from within the right-of-way. This data was collected by engineering teams between May and November 2022 and study areas were identified based on broadband service availability coverage data from September 2021.
